Tyson Fury discusses his preparation for his upcoming WWE debut against Braun Strowman.
After WWE officially announced that Fur🎃y will be facing Strowman at the Cro🅺wn Jewel pay-per-view on October 31, the undefeated former WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion spoke with Cathy Kelley about the press conference announcing the bout. Fury commented on Strowman's ego and the brawl that nearly happened followed by an intense face-off. This came after the tw𝕴o got into a physical alter🔥cation on the October 7 episode of Raw when ♓WWE 𒊎officials and wrestlers stepped in to separate them.
"It got a little heated on stage. He's got a bit of an ego, so have I. There was a little bit of shoving and pushing, but nothing too serious. You never know, tempers kind of rise in these occasions. Sometimes it happens and it can lead into a brawl on stage, but thankfully it didn't go too far," Fury said.
This will be Fury's first WWE match and it will be taking place a little more than a month after his last boxing fight, which was a unanimous decision against Otto Wallin in Las Vegas back in mid-September. Fury believes he will fit in naturally with ꦜWWE and that he will be able to learn a lot in the coming weeks ahead of the match.
"It's going to be an amazing transition. I'm a natural entertainer. If you watch boxing, you'll know I'm the biggest personality in the sport so to come in here and get involved with WWE is an excellent experience for me. I'm a quick learner. I'm like a duck in water when it comes to learning things, so hopefully, I'll learn some good moves and try them all on Braun," Fury said.
Fury then detailed what ﷽his training has been⛄ like and not only revealed his training schedule, but also the fact that he has been at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida preparing for the match.
"I've been training at the Performance Center in Orlando for the last week and I'm going to be there training for the next two weeks. Then, we'll be going to London and be training there. I take everything seriously. I didn't come to throw a couple of punches and that's it, game's over, Braun Strowman's knocked out. I came here to learn and to appreciate how good these guys really are. I don't take anything for granted," Fury said.
Fightful will have live coverage of Crown Jewel taking place on October 31 in Saudi Arab🌄ia with a post-show podcast after the event goes off 🃏the air.
